The overall aim of the Business Success team is to ensure that our customers have a smooth journey throughout their digital transformation and are given a solution to support the vision and meet their initial needs and longer term objectives.
As a Solutions Architect, you will be joining a team of skilled solution specialists, designing and coordinating cutting edge Salesforce solutions depending on the customer’s needs. Your role will also include technical pre-sales and coordinating with the sales, delivery and service management teams. As a rough guide the role would be 50% pre sales 50% delivery, the latter component being critical to ensuring skills are kept up to date and relevant.
The ideal candidate will be a technical expert with a solutions focus and pre-sales background with an ability to communicate and present well in customer facing meetings. They will preferably come from a consultancy background, but we’re also open to considering those from an end-user background.
Duties and Key Responsibilities include:
- Designing the implementation of Enterprise level Salesforce solutions
- Develop high level estimates for the implementation of the requirements
- Ability to analyse and understand customer requirements and centre solutions around these
- Forward thinking and up-to-date knowledge of the latest Salesforce technologies with a passion to learn more
- Provide the in-house Sales team with your expertise and knowledge and help to respond to RFIs and RFPs
- Work closely with the technical delivery and service management teams to ensure alignment with your designs
- Capture business requirements and align them to the appropriate salesforce solution
- Develop high level estimates for the implementation of the requirements
- Identify project risks and potential mitigations
- Effective communication and relationship building skills
- Confident in documentation and presentation skills
- Able to work as part of a small team and prioritise
- Ability to work in busy environment and use own initiative
- Able to understand the commercial needs of the business combined with customer needs
Knowledge needed:
- Experience with multiple core Salesforce clouds; 1 or more of the following – Service, Sales, Community, Marketing, Analytics, Commerce, Mulesoft.
- Strong analytical and structured problem solving skills
- Experience in defining systems strategy, solution, defining and refining business processes, developing systems requirements, designing and prototyping, testing, training, and implementing practical business solutions under multiple deadlines
- Excellent presenter, able to articulate the vision of a programme of work and respond to both technical and functional questions.
- Experience with system configuration using workflows, approval processes, custom objects, validation rules, formulas, process builder, flows and Dataloader
- Experience integrating Salesforce with different business systems, basic understanding of programming logic and constructs, specifically in Salesforce, and their use in software development
- Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
- 2-3 years experience of requirements gathering, solution design and estimating development effort for medium to large projects
- Experience in enterprise-level Salesforce projects using either waterfall and agile software development methodologies throughout the whole life cycle with repeated and demonstrable success
